Protests: Journalists' Safety in BiH is Threatened

Numerous journalists gathered today at a protest meeting in the Journalists' Club in Banja Luka and sent a protest to the public of the entire BiH to draw attention to the increasingly frequent attacks on journalists in our country, reports the Patria News Agency.

“Journalists of BiH, the entire media community, and citizens of this country have faced brutal endangerment of media freedoms and journalists' safety in recent days. Physical attacks on journalistic teams, court orders prohibiting the publication of information, police raids on the editorial office of the Klix.ba portal, denial of accreditation to BN Television journalists for entry into the Palace of the President of Republika Srpska, and verbal attacks on editors of the Tačno.net portal are only part of the 400 registered cases of violations of freedom of expression and individual rights of journalists, recorded by the Journalists' Help Line from 2006 to date,” the protest letter states, among other things.
