(Patria) - Students residing in the Sarajevo student dormitories at Bjelave and Nedžarići have again taken to the streets tonight in protests, reports Faktor.
Their first gathering was organized last night after the Bjelave dormitory lost heating due to a gas leak from the boiler room.
The reasons for the gatherings are the negligence of the cantonal authorities regarding their basic needs and the long-standing problem with heating and hot water.
- I am glad that my colleagues are aware of the situation. We have been talking about this for over a year. Yesterday's event is proof that what we are talking about is a serious situation - says Aldin Mešan, President of the Management Board of the Student Center Student Association.

He states that they held a meeting with colleagues from the Student Parliament, and they were joined by representatives of the Student Center Workers' Union, and together they reached conclusions.
- We really have nothing more to wait for. We have been trying for years to resolve the situation peacefully, but we get the same answer. Today's statement from the cantonal ministry is what we have been hearing for many years. We are tired of spinning the same story, we demand action - says Mešan.
He listed numerous problems - (non)compliance with the Founding Act of the Student Center, the condition of the boiler room at Bjelave, but also in Nedžarići, the roof within the Nedžarići Student Settlement that leaks...
The students have also formed a Coordination Team and announced protests in front of the Government of the Sarajevo Canton on Monday starting at 11:00 AM.
