Due to the non-processing of crime and corruption she has been reporting since 2009, the president of the Association for the Fight Against Corruption, Crime, and Discrimination in Institutions and Public Institutions in BiH, Irina Lovrić, organized a symbolic protest in front of the BiH Parliament building in Sarajevo on International Women's Day today, reports the Patria News Agency.
Lovrić was supported by citizens wearing T-shirts that read "We are all Irina." Among those who supported Irina Lovrić today was BiH writer Abdulah Sidran.
-Corruption and crime occur in all public institutions and establishments in BiH, but the most evident cases are in state, health, and educational institutions. In my case, the first anthological verdict for mobbing that I endured for seven years was passed because I reported corruption and crime while I was an employee of the Fund for Returnees of BiH, Lovrić told reporters.
Although many people in BiH have experienced some form of corruption and crime firsthand, the commitment to fighting these scourges remains only declarative.
The association headed by Lovrić has reported several dozen cases of corruption in state institutions and public establishments in BiH.
