(Patria) - Several thousand people gathered today in Banja Luka for a protest in support of the president of the smaller BiH entity, Milorad Dodik, the day before the verdict of the BiH Court where he is being tried for non-compliance with the decisions of High Representative Christian Schmidt.
The protest is being held in front of the building of the National Assembly of RS, which is expected to start a special session later to discuss the "Information on the violation of the BiH Constitution, measures and tasks for the protection of the BiH Constitution".
The gathered people arrived via organized transport from all parts of RS. As reported by reporters from RSE, flags with the image of Russian President Vladimir Putin and neighboring Serbia can also be seen at the rally.
Another protest is announced for tomorrow, just one hour before the verdict is delivered in Sarajevo.
In addition to Dodik, the acting director of the "Official Gazette of RS", Miloš Lukić, is also accused in the same proceedings.
Pressure on the BiH judiciary is increasing ahead of the verdict, and the leadership of RS has threatened "radical decisions" in the event Dodik is convicted, as well as leaving all state institutions.
