In the past day in Sarajevo Canton, 135 new coronavirus cases, two deaths

(Patria) - In the past day in Sarajevo Canton, 135 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed, after 1,012 samples were tested in the laboratory, according to data from the KS Public Health Institute. In the same period, 128 people recovered from Covid-19 infection. Two patients died from the consequences of this disease.

Currently, 107 patients are hospitalized, of whom 100 have acute infection, while the others have post-Covid conditions or are under observation/triage. The proportion of vaccinated people among hospitalized patients is 23.36 percent. 53 patients are being treated at the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo, and 54 at the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš". Four patients are on ventilators, 14 are using non-invasive ventilation, and seven are on oxygen support.

Sarajevo Canton currently records 1,519 active cases of Covid-19 infection. Currently, 2,316 people are in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Sarajevo Canton, 66,694 people have been registered as infected with coronavirus, and 63,617 have recovered.
"In the past seven days, the average number of infected people is 122, while the weekly incidence, i.e., the number of sick people per 100,000 inhabitants, is 202," according to data from the KS Public Health Institute.

325 patients were examined in the Covid-clinics of the Public Institution Health Center KS, of whom four were transported to hospital treatment. 687 PCR swabs were taken at drive-in points and in Covid-clinics. Drive-in points in Vrbanja, Ilidža, and Semizovac operate every day from 07:30 to 20:00. The Covid call center recorded 503 calls, and 209 conversations with patients were conducted via phone numbers in Covid-clinics.
During the past day, 721 doses of vaccines were administered in Sarajevo Canton.

The Ministry of Health of KS once again calls on citizens to get vaccinated in order to protect their health and the health of those around them. This ministry and health institutions thank citizens for their cooperation and invite them to continue to respect all prescribed hygienic-epidemiological measures.
