Last year's storm in FBiH caused damage worth 1.5 billion KM

 

The FBiH Government at today's session accepted the report on the estimated damage from last year's floods and landslides in Posavina, Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj, Central Bosnia, Bosniak-Podrinje and Sarajevo cantons, and tasked the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters with submitting a Proposal for a decision on approving one-time financial aid for the repair of part of the damage to the municipalities of Posavina, Tuzla, Zenica-Doboj and Central Bosnia cantons, reports the Patria News Agency.  

After a detailed analysis of the submitted reports (excluding Una-Sana Canton, which did not submit indicators to the Federal Commission), it was determined that the total estimated damage in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina amounts to 1,414,983,980.28 KM.

The Government also adopted the reports on the work of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters and the Federal Commission for Damage Assessment in 2014. The Federal Commission for Damage Assessment, the Federal Civil Protection Administration and the Federal Ministry of Finance were tasked by the Government to, within their jurisdictions, monitor the use and expenditure of funds allocated for one-time financial aid to municipalities for the repair of part of the damage, and to promptly inform the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters and the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina about it, reports the Patria News Agency.
