Average December salary in BiH 1,430 KM

(Patria) - The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in December last year amounted to 1,430 KM, and is nominally higher by 1.7 percent, and in real terms by 1.3 percent compared to the previous month.

Compared to December 2023, the average net salary paid is nominally higher by 10.2 percent, while the real index was higher by 7.8 percent, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

In information and communication, the average net salary paid in December last year amounted to 2,059 KM, in financial and insurance activities 2,046 KM, and in the production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 1,934 KM.

In accommodation and food service activities, the average net salary paid in the last month of last year amounted to 927 KM, in construction 1,084 KM, and in wholesale and retail trade, and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles 1,135 KM.

The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities in BiH for December 2024 amounted to 2,217 KM, showing a nominal increase of 1.9 percent, and a real increase of 1.5 percent compared to the previous month.

The average monthly gross salary paid for December 2024 compared to the same month in 2023 is nominally higher by 10.6 percent, while the real index was higher by 8.2 percent.
