Enrollment plan for students at the University of Sarajevo expanded

The Government of Sarajevo Canton, at today's 13th session, adopted the Decision on expanding the number and structure of students who can enroll in the first year of the first cycle of studies at the University of Sarajevo in the 2015/2016 academic year, thus satisfying the faculties' requests for an expanded enrollment plan, but with the obligation to enroll 10 percent of the proposed number of students as full-time students who do not pay tuition, reports the Patria News Agency.

 

At the same session, the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Use of the Coat of Arms and Flag of Sarajevo Canton was determined, in order to align it with the provisions of the Law on Misdemeanors of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The amended Article 19 of the aforementioned law proposes an increase in the range of fines for the use of the Coat of Arms and Flag of SC contrary to the content and form prescribed by this law. For the same reason, which implies alignment with the Law on Misdemeanors of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposals for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Publication of Regulations and Other General Acts in the "Official Gazette of Sarajevo Canton“ as well as on Amendments and Additions to the Law on Execution of Sanctions in Sarajevo Canton were determined. All three draft laws have been sent to the parliamentary procedure for deputies to consider and adopt.

The Report on the Work and Financial Operations of the Institute for Construction of Sarajevo Canton for 2014 was also adopted, and the Information on the State of Crime, Public Order and Peace, and Traffic Safety in the Territory of Sarajevo Canton for June 2015 was taken note of. The aforementioned report, as well as the information, were forwarded to the SC Assembly.

A Decision on the Formation of an Independent Expert Body for the Validity of Calculations and the Final Proposal for the Amount of the Price of Utility Services for the Supply of Thermal Energy and Distribution of Natural Gas Supply was also adopted.

The SC Government adopted the Program and Plan of Activities for the Preparation and Development of Amendments and Additions to the Spatial Plan of the Special Area of Natural Heritage "Skakavac Waterfall" as well as the Report on the Implementation of the Decision on the Category of Persons, Conditions and Criteria for Resolving Housing Issues through the Purchase of an Apartment under More Favorable Conditions for the period January – June of the current year, it was announced from the SC Government.
