Prosinečki resigns!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, Robert Prosinečki, has resigned following today's defeat against Armenia.

The Armenian team defeated the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team with a score of 4:2 in the sixth round of the European Football Championship qualifiers.

With this victory, Armenia moved to third place in Group “J” with nine points, while the Bosnian team is in fourth place with two points fewer.

"I came with the goal of taking us to the Euro. Although all chances for that are not lost, I feel responsible and I am resigning," Prosinečki stated.

Prosinečki became the head coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina in January 2018. In 18 matches at the helm of the Dragons, he achieved seven wins, six draws, and five losses.

"First of all, I must point out that Armenia deservedly won. We had some chances of our own, but we were not up to par. Perhaps we were in attack, but that is all irrelevant. The penalty might have been for us, but that is how it is. All of that is now irrelevant because Bosnia and Herzegovina cannot go to the Euro through these qualifiers. We still have a chance to go to the championship through the Nations League," Prosinečki said for Nova BH after the match, and then at the press conference he announced his resignation.
