Failed banks again in the background of the RS National Assembly

The opposition in RS proposed that the entity carry out a conversion of loans with a currency clause in Swiss francs. The matter was initiated in a debate before the RS National Assembly.

- It is obvious that the proposal came from the level of BiH in an effort to shift the problem to Republika Srpska so that Srpska would have to deal with it, probably in the belief of those who proposed it that Srpska would be further destabilized as a result - Dodik said.

Allegedly, this conversion involved a write-off of about 30 percent of loans, which was completely unreasonable.

Of course, the National Assembly rejected the opposition's request in RS. It is not clear, however, why such an almost absurd proposal appeared before the deputies. On what basis did the opposition even consider that RS was capable of such a step.
Namely, the cost of the conversion would be impossible for a financially weak entity like RS. Sometimes it seems to the public that the position and opposition in Republika Srpska share surreal roles that they then play very convincingly in front of the cameras.

If there is any background to such theatrics in the National Assembly and if the direction is elsewhere, then this is a very serious problem of attitude towards the public in this country. It could be said that the unfortunate and naive people from the association "Franak" from both RS and the Federation were invited to a debate on a lost issue. The debate itself was absolutely doomed to failure and collapse.

And why were those verbal acrobatics conducted for an entire afternoon? At the same time, there is a wise silence about the major political crimes that destroyed two entity banks, "Bobar Bank" and "Bank of Srpska". And then the consequences of the robbery were paid off on the backs of this state.

This was an incredible game, first because Republika Srpska owes Hypo Bank hundreds of millions of marks. Secondly, what awaited Dodik and Republika Srpska around the corner, with a heavier stick, was the EBRD, which is one of the owners of Hypo Bank. Of course, Dodik was afraid of this case, but as usual, he promised a solution and meanwhile attacked the SDS and SDA, pointing to the cooperation of Bosic and supposedly Izetbegovic.

Dodik publicly admitted for the first time that Republika Srpska is a destabilized case. Because someone wants to "further destabilize" it. So, who destabilized the entity and when will more be known about the causes and extent of this destabilization?

The conversion of loans in Swiss francs into loans in euros threw the Republic of Croatia, which is, after all, a serious European country, into severe financial problems. On the other hand, in the European Commission's progress report on the Republic of Croatia, the biggest objection concerns precisely the conversion of loans from Swiss francs to euros. Croatia was therefore marked as problematic for investments.
