Book about the defenders of Zavidovići promoted: Lasting memory is an obligation

(Patria) - In the Zavidovići local community of Dolina Alići yesterday, on the occasion of the day of remembrance of martyrs, the tenth book by author Nijaz Mačko, "Itoa", was promoted.

The work "They defended Zavidovići, Dolina and Alići" was discussed by promoters - wartime commanders Ismet Memagić, Sead Rekić, former resident of this local community Refik Starčević, author of the book and lector moderator Elvira Joldić.

The cultural part of the program was complemented by students from the Second Elementary School in Zavidovići, who performed a recital and recited Ilahijas for those present.

Guests at the event included representatives of martyr organizations, political parties, and the relevant cantonal minister for veterans' affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Adnan Sirovica, who emphasized that these fighters must never be forgotten, and the best and lasting memory will be precisely the published book about them.
