Promotion of the fifth issue of the professional journal Tristotrojka

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The student magazine for architecture, design and art „Tristotrojka“ promotes its fifth issue on Thursday at Kino Meeting Point in Sarajevo, starting at 8 p.m.

The central theme of the magazine promotion is „The legacy of mature modernism in Sarajevo with a focus on KSC Skenderija.“

Guests are Nasiha Pozder, a doctor in the field of architecture and urbanism, employed at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Sarajevo at the Department of Urbanism and Spatial Planning, and Maroje Mrduljaš, architect, architecture and design critic, lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Zagreb. Mrduljaš's current focus of interest is the modernism of the second half of the 20th century in the region of the former Yugoslavia and contemporary architectural practices.

Tristotrojka is a student magazine for architecture, design and art. It was started as an independent project by a group of students at the Faculty of Architecture in Sarajevo in 2014. Even before the publication of the first issue, it attracted the interest of a large number of students and architects, and a large number of architecture students and other related faculties from the region joined the work of the Tristotrojka editorial board.

The first issue was awarded and exhibited at the Sarajevo annual exhibition Collegium Artisticum in 2014, and the second issue was presented at the Days of Architecture 2014 in Sarajevo. The latest recognition was received at the Salon of Architecture in Novi Sad in 2016.

The magazine is edited by students. The content offers professional texts and a review of student works from various faculties in the region, with a focus on texts of an educational and informative nature that promote artistic and technical fields and professions, notable achievements, student activism and collaborations.

Tristotrojka is becoming an international platform for communication and cooperation among students of the Balkan region with collaborators around the world. It organizes events, lectures and panel discussions, striving to improve the dialogue between the profession and the public as well as to involve students in discussions about current events in architecture and urban development.

During the promotion, guests will be able to pick up a free copy of the magazine, view an exhibition of graphic design by participants of the cover page competition, and listen to comments from experts.
