Failed policies of Izetbegović and Zvizdić weaken BiH's international position

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The opening of a possible regional political crisis, caused by announcements about the exchange of territory between Serbia and Kosovo and the attempt to transfer it to BiH, primarily through the leadership in the RS, raises the question of responsibility for the failed policies of Bakir Izetbegović and Denis Zvizdić for weakening BiH's international position, especially in the West, warn from the SDP.

- We note that for the first time in almost two decades, the SDA holds both the position of Chairman of the Council of Ministers and a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These four years, the SDA has spent tying BiH internationally only to Turkey, which has increasingly worse relations with the countries that are guarantors of the Dayton Peace Agreement. 

Thus, the SDA has significantly weakened the position of the state of BiH in Brussels, Berlin, London, Washington, and other Western centers.

We emphasize that the territorial demarcation between Serbia and Kosovo is a problem that Belgrade and Pristina should resolve, in accordance with international law. The state of BiH cannot and must not be linked to this process by anyone. We clearly state that it is not possible to remove a single millimeter of BiH's territory from the country's constitutional and legal order. 

Therefore, it is necessary to recognize that the misguided policy led by the SDA, which only declaratively advocates for European integration, is nothing but a path to the isolation of the state, which is disastrous for its future. The citizens of BiH are the greatest guarantor of its survival and integrity - say from the SDP.

Every responsible BiH policy is obliged to maintain alliances with friendly countries and build new ones in order to achieve its own interests, note from the SDP.

- By allowing BiH to be a tool in achieving other people's interests in international relations, the SDA has committed one of the biggest mistakes in its policy.

The SDP will pursue a policy that will restore BiH's reputation in international circles. BiH and its interests must be visible and clearly recognized in the most important political centers. Only then will it be possible to secure support from countries like the USA or Germany, which will guarantee the country's stability.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to have equal and friendly relations with Turkey. However, only through responsible international policy and diplomacy is it possible to steer BiH from the track on which the SDA led it exclusively towards Ankara, clearly directing it towards Brussels, Washington, Berlin, Paris, and London, which will ensure the territorial integrity, stability, and a secure path for the country into NATO and the EU - added from the SDP.
