A Memorandum of Understanding for the opening of 400 new jobs through a retraining project for individuals registered with employment bureaus in FBiH was signed by Nataša Miškin, on behalf of the Swedish Embassy/Sida, Kenan Rešo, Director of the Federal Employment Bureau, and David Barth, Mission Director of USAID in BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
This is the GOLD project - Improving Local Development, and new jobs will be created in Visoko, Vogošća, Konjic, Olovo, and Zavidovići, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
Retraining will be conducted in the textile, electrical, chemical, and automotive industries.
This project also aims to influence the secondary education system in these cities, by having secondary schools in Visoko, Vogošća, Konjic, Olovo, and Zavidovići prepare and train students for professions needed by companies in their environment. This would make it easier for young people to find employment and ensure companies have qualified personnel.
