Employment co-financing programme increased to 6 million, opportunity for 517 unemployed

The Government of Sarajevo Canton at yesterday's session adopted the Programme on Amendments to the Programme of Measures for Stimulating Employment and Maintaining a Higher Employment Rate in Sarajevo Canton in 2015, reports the Patria news agency.

The amendments primarily relate to an increase in the amount of funds for the implementation of the Self-Employment Co-financing Programme from 2,640,000 KM to 6,204,000 KM, thereby increasing the number of beneficiaries of these funds from 220 to 517.

Also, within it, a new measure was programmed: the "Programme for Co-financing the Employment of Trainees with University, Higher, Secondary and Skilled Worker Qualifications" with a new amount of funds for its implementation valued at 2,228,024 KM.

It is also planned to implement the Public Works Programme with 663,000 KM and employ 429 unemployed persons from these funds. Additionally, the Training, Additional Qualification/Retraining Programme for unemployed persons for a known employer will be implemented with funds in the amount of 196,600 KM for at least 131 unemployed persons.

According to this, the necessary funds for the implementation of the entire programme this year amount to 9,291,624 KM and are planned in the Financial Plan of Revenues and Expenditures of the Public Institution "Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton".

Incidentally, this document defines all individual incentive measures, determines the necessary financial resources, as well as the goals and criteria for the implementation of each of the envisaged incentive measures, the method of publishing public calls, monitoring effects, and other issues relevant to the implementation of the Programme, announced the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
