Professor Tomislav Išek supports Denis Bećirović's candidacy for the BiH Presidency

SARAJevo, (Patria) - From the moment Denis Bećirović's candidacy was announced, numerous political parties, non-governmental organizations, and individuals have been giving their support and joining the broad front of progressive forces rallying around the SDP's presidential candidate, the party announced.

One of those who have offered their support is Professor Tomislav Išek, a respected and recognized academic, not only within the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina but also throughout the region. He is particularly recognized in public as a man who promotes democratic and anti-fascist values.

- As a university professor and a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I want to publicly support the candidacy of Dr. Denis Bećirović, a man whom I am convinced will perform the function of a member of the BiH Presidency honestly and with integrity, in the interest of all citizens and peoples of our homeland.

He is a man who has grown into an excellent politician, but also a personality who has never lost touch with science and scientific work, which is very noticeable in his appearances.

I have followed his political and scientific maturation, and I am convinced that he is the right solution for Bosnia and Herzegovina. For all these reasons, as well as a number of others, I give him my absolute support.

Denis Bećirović, as the SDP's candidate who was chosen by referendum with plebiscitary support from the membership and who is running for the highest state office, I am convinced that he will receive broad support not only from SDP members but also from all citizens, as his actions have shown that he is ready to rise above all particular interests - wrote Professor Išek in a letter of support to Denis Bećirović.
