Professor Hamza Preljević Editor of a Book by Renowned Publisher Palgrave Macmillan

(Patria) - Renowned global publisher Palgrave Macmillan (part of the Springer Nature network) published the book “Shifting Paradigms: Three Decades after the Signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement” on August 30, whose main coordinator and editor was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamza Preljević from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The printed edition of the publication is also expected by the end of the month.

The book is the result of the research project “Bosnia and Herzegovina Thirty Years after the Dayton Peace Agreement” and brings together more than 25 domestic and international authors.

Through comprehensive analysis, it examines transitional justice, nationalism, collective memory, cultural identity, civil society, and regional geopolitical processes. Special attention is paid to contemporary challenges such as the refugee crisis, secessionist threats, the militarization of the region, and the role of the EU and NATO.

Professor Preljević emphasized that the project was both a challenge and a privilege, and stated that this success shows that it is possible for researchers from BiH to collaborate with the most reputable world publishers.

The editorial team also included Muhidin Mulalić, Emir Hadžikadunić, and Mustafa Krupalija, while the authors, including numerous renowned experts and researchers, participated voluntarily, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Dayton.

The book “Shifting Paradigms” is now available on the global Palgrave Macmillan platform.
