Prof. Dr. Sci. Branislava Draženović recipient of individual, and Association 'Renesansa' of collective April 6th Award

(Patria) - The City Council of Sarajevo, at its 37th session today, chaired by Jasmin Ademović, President of the City Council, reviewed and adopted the Report of the Committee for the awarding of the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2024.

The President of the Committee for the awarding of the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo', Adi Škaljić, informed the city councilors about the Committee's work. Along with the report, the Committee submitted the established draft decisions for the awarding of the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2024 to the City Council.

The Committee for the awarding of the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2024 reviewed the received proposals for the awarding of the Award, and submitted two proposals for decisions on awarding the individual Award and two proposals for decisions on awarding the collective Award to the City Council for consideration and final decision.

The City Council, through public voting, between two proposed candidates for the awarding of the individual 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2024: Prof. Dr. Sci. Branislava Draženović, née Peruničić, for significant achievements and significant work results in the field of science and education, and Zdravko Čolić, for significant achievements and significant work results in the field of culture and art, decided that the recipient of the individual 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2024 is Prof. Dr. Sci. Branislava Draženović, née Peruničić.

The City Council, through public voting, between two proposed candidates for the awarding of the collective 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2024: Association 'Renesansa', for significant achievements and significant work results in the field of healthcare and social protection, and Association 'Council of Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals', for significant achievements and significant work results in other areas of work and creativity, decided that the recipient of the collective 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo' in 2024 is Association 'Renesansa'.

The award recipients will be promoted and the awards will be presented to them by the Mayor and the President of the City Council at the Ceremonial Session of the City Council, on the occasion of Sarajevo City Day, April 6th.

At the proposal of city councilor Dragan Stevanović, a conclusion was adopted to proceed with amendments and supplements to the Decision on the conditions and manner of awarding the 'April 6th Award of the City of Sarajevo', with the City Council submitting the Draft Decision for broad public discussion.
