Konstantinos Papadopoulos, Head of the Echolab of Interbalkan Medical Center from Thessaloniki (Greece), held a series of expert lectures and workshops for KCUS employees. The training included employees of the Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery, the Clinic for Heart Diseases, Blood Vessels and Rheumatism, as well as the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš".

Prof. dr. Papadopoulos is among the leading experts in the field of 4D transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and his visit was aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of KCUS medical staff, in line with the latest advancements in cardiological diagnostics.

As stated by Dr. Lejla Divović Mustafić from the Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery, the training was organized with the support of the Discipline for Science and Teaching (NIR), as well as acting General Director Prof. dr. Hajrija Maksić.

"Prof. dr. Papadopoulos held lectures and workshops at the premises of the Clinic for Cardiovascular Surgery and NIR. With the advancement of imaging methods in cardiology, the need for further training and acquisition of new skills by our doctors has arisen, with the aim of providing the highest quality and most adequate care for patients. Special
thanks go to the company General Electric, which supported the realization of this project as a partner," emphasized Dr. Divović Mustafić.

Dr. Divović Mustafić added that this training is expected to contribute to further improvement of cooperation and open new opportunities for the professional development of KCUS staff.

Prof. dr. Papadopoulos stated that he was greatly honored to be invited to visit KCUS and to have had the opportunity to hold a series of workshops for the medical staff.

"My visit is focused on training in the field of 3D echocardiography, as well as patient examination, which represents a combination of theoretical and practical work. We also held workshops that dealt with interesting clinical cases using 3D ultrasound. I believe that KCUS doctors possess a very high level of knowledge, but it is necessary to improve diagnostic equipment. KCUS is a place where numerous complex cardiosurgical procedures are performed, and due to the high standard of doctors, more modern technology is needed. I am very satisfied with the quality of discussions and the exchange of experiences with your experts, and I am convinced that you are at an enviable level within the European framework," said Prof. dr. Papadopoulos.

When asked about the alignment of the work of KCUS doctors with European standards, Prof. dr. Papadopoulos confirmed that KCUS staff follows European guidelines.
