Upon conclusion of the gathering, the attendees unanimously adopted a joint statement consisting of nine points:

1. The Convention was held in the spirit of the utmost responsibility and respect of all involved parties, representatives of the academic community, non-governmental organizations, political parties, and citizens, for the progress of the state, freedom, and equality of all people of Bosnia and Herzegovina;

2. The Sarajevo Convention initiates the holding of similar gatherings in all cities and municipalities, academic communities, and among non-governmental organizations at home and abroad, in order to achieve state-building unity and sensitize domestic and international public opinion to the real political dangers facing Bosnia and Herzegovina;

3. It was decided at the Convention that all presented papers and discussions will form the basis for defining the final document of the Convention, including proposals from upcoming discussions in all societal structures;

4. Only through dialogue between the academic community, non-governmental organizations, and political parties can a vision for the future and the values of modern Bosnia and Herzegovina be built as a support and orientation for the upcoming difficult political struggles for a free Bosnia and Herzegovina;

5. The Convention expresses the utmost loyalty to the restoration of Bosnia and Herzegovina's centuries-old statehood, but insists on further democratic development in line with new historical circumstances of liberal democracy and the modern European - civic concept of the state;

6. The Convention insists on the consistent implementation of all six judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, the abolition of all forms of discrimination throughout the entire territory of the state, placing the citizen as an individual at the focus of the constitutional-legal system, and strengthening the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the path to building a modern Bosnian nation-state – one that is not in conflict with existing cultural identities and ethnic affiliations, but is inclusive of them;

7. The Convention calls for the abolition of special and parallel ties as an instrument for undermining the sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the great-power ambitions of neighboring countries;

8. The Convention emphasizes that the response to the security situation is primarily a political issue to which all societal structures and state institutions must provide realistic answers;

9. The Convention expresses unwavering determination and political unity in defending the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina by all available means appropriate for equal members of the United Nations.

Following the Sarajevo Convention, gatherings of the same content are announced in a number of cities and municipalities across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
