Pro-Bosnian political bloc left without another state institution

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH today appointed Anita Markić as the Director of the Civil Service Agency (CSA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a five-year term, it was announced after the session.

At the same time, a Decision was made to dismiss the previous Director of the CSA, Neven Akšamija, due to the expiration of his term.

Markić, a long-time member of the HDZ from Široki Brijeg, was appointed to this position according to the agreement between the "Trojka" (Three) coalition and the HDZ BiH, writes Faktor.

It is precisely Markić who received the highest number of points in the tender procedure from the "independent selection commission" - 126.08, which is why she was placed at the top of the list of successful candidates.

Interestingly, a member of the selection commission that awarded the highest number of points to this HDZ BiH candidate was Marin Vukoja, the current secretary of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and a candidate for judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, whose appointment is insisted upon by the HDZ BiH.

Thus, the pro-Bosnian political bloc was left without another state institution.

The Council of Ministers of BiH today made a Decision on the cessation of the state of natural or other disaster in the territory of BiH, which was declared in March 2020 due to the danger of the spread of the infectious disease COVID-19. The entity governments had previously done the same.

A decision was also made on the annual quota of work permits for the employment of foreigners in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023, which is almost 1,500 permits higher than last year's.

Thus, the total annual quota of work permits for the extension and new employment of foreigners in Bosnia and Herzegovina this year amounts to 3,995, of which 2,435 work permits are allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1,400 to Republika Srpska, and 160 work permits to Brčko District of BiH.
