FIPA Recognition: Swisslion Trebinje Employed the Most Workers in 2014

The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) organized today in Sarajevo an event titled „Selection of the Most Significant Investor in BiH for 2014”, which it has traditionally organized for many years, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Bearing in mind the importance of foreign investments for the country's economic development, reduction of unemployment and foreign trade deficit, introduction of new technologies and management methods, and improvement of the competitiveness of the BiH economy, the FIPA Agency organizes this event with the aim of recognizing foreign companies whose investments were the most significant in the previous year.

This year, awards were also given in four categories:

- the most significant "greenfield" investment;

- the most significant investment realized through acquisition/privatization;

- the most significant investment that created the most jobs;

- the most significant investment through joint venture;

The company „Comsar Energy Group Banja Luka/Comsar Energy Group Limited, Cyprus“ was selected as the most significant investor in the category - Greenfield (establishment of a new company/construction of a facility), while „GS – Tvornica mašina Travnik / Global sourcing GmbH, Germany“ was selected as the most significant investor in the category - Acquisition/Privatization.

In the category - Creation of new jobs the company „SWISSLION d.o.o. Trebinje / Rodoljub Drašković, Serbia” was selected, while the company „Zinkteknik Bosnia doo Mostar” is the most significant investor in the category - Joint Venture.
