Provisional investigative committee summons Gordana Tadić and journalists for questioning

SARAJevo, (Patria) - At the 9th session of the Provisional Investigative Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) for determining the situation in the judicial institutions of BiH, the judge of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Goran Nezirović, was heard.

The Provisional Investigative Committee of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA for determining the situation in the judicial institutions of BiH adopted the following conclusions:

1. The Provisional Investigative Committee summons the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Gordana Tadić, to testify before the Committee on Monday, September 14, 2020, at 1 PM;

2. a) The Provisional Investigative Committee summons the Chief Disciplinary Prosecutor of the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) Alena Kurspahić – Nadarević and the Deputy Chief Disciplinary Prosecutor of the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office of the HJPC Mirza Omerović to testify before the Committee at one of the next sessions, the date of which will be determined later;

b) Officials of the BiH PA Secretariat providing expert and administrative-technical support to the Committee are tasked with contacting the aforementioned persons to discuss the optimal date for their testimony before the Committee.

3. a) The Provisional Investigative Committee invites professional journalist associations - the Association of Journalists of BiH, the Association of Journalists of Republika Srpska, and the BH Journalists association to appoint representatives who will appear to testify before the Committee at one of the next sessions, the date of which will be determined later, on the topic of challenges faced by journalists in investigating corruption and organized crime, as well as suggestions for improving the legal framework to address these problems;

b) Officials of the BiH PA Secretariat providing expert and administrative-technical support to the Committee are tasked with contacting the aforementioned associations to discuss the optimal date for the testimony of their representatives before the Committee.
