Condolence telegrams are arriving

Following the severe mining accident with tragic consequences in the Raspotočje mine of RMU Zenica, telegrams and expressions of condolence are constantly arriving, writes the Patria News Agency.

- I express my deepest sympathy to the families of the deceased miners and their colleagues – said Amer Jerlagić, president of SBiH.

The Mayor of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Ivo Komšić, also sent a letter of condolence to the Management of the Zenica Coal Mine, the Federation of BiH Miners' Union, the Zenica Coal Mine Union, and the relevant ministries, in which, on behalf of the City of Sarajevo and personally, he expressed sincere sympathy on the occasion of the death of five miners.

The British Ambassador to BiH, Edward Ferguson, wrote on his Twitter profile that his thoughts and sympathy are with the families.

- I was deeply shaken by the news of the tragedy in the Raspotočje mine and the loss of miners' lives - Ferguson wrote.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Božo Ljubić, extended his deepest condolences to the families of the miners who tragically died in the Raspotočje mine of the Zenica Coal Mine.

- This is a great tragedy and an irreparable loss for the families, for the colleagues, and for the management of the Mine, as well as for the entire country. Sympathizing with the families of the people whose lives we have lost, I call on the institutions to do everything to help these families, and to improve the conditions in which miners work and increase their income – it is stated in the condolence message that Božo Ljubić sent to the families of the deceased miners.

Deeply shaken and saddened by the tragic death of five miners in the Raspotočje mine, the president of SBB, Fahrudin Radončić, expressed his condolences primarily to the families of the deceased miners, as well as to their colleagues and the collective of RMU Zenica.

- In these difficult moments, we are all with the families of the deceased. Let us do everything to help and be available to them, although no one can compensate for their loss – Radončić emphasized.
