Large number of applications received for youth housing subsidy, list expected in December

(Patria) - The Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton published on 23.10.2023 a Public Call for subsidising the resolution of the housing issue of young people, which closed yesterday, 14.11.2023.

So far, 1,295 applications have been received, and considering applications sent by mail, the Ministry expects the final number of applicants to be over 1,300. They emphasise that this is the highest number of requests since 2017, when this public call was first announced.

The Commission for implementing the public call will begin its work next week.

“Given the large number of received applications, we hope that the list of successful candidates will be presented in the second half of December. The Ministry thanks all applicants for their expressed interest and is pleased to note that the scoring system, which was created in this way for the first time, has been met with approval as there were almost no objections,” stated the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton.
