Preparations for Report to the UN Security Council: Brammertz in Sarajevo from 19 to 21 October

As part of preparations for his regular six-month report to the United Nations Security Council, Prosecutor Serge Brammertz will be in Sarajevo from 19 to 21 October, reports the news agency Patria.  

The Prosecutor will meet with representatives of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including members of the Presidency of BiH, Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović, President of the Court of BiH Meddžida Kreso, as well as members of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council.

As during previous visits, Prosecutor Brammertz will hold several meetings with representatives of victims' associations. In addition, the Prosecutor will meet with representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, as well as relevant international partners to discuss ways to further support the important process of searching for missing persons.

The Prosecutor will also meet with representatives of the international community, including the Special Representative of the European Union in BiH and the Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH. 

The Prosecutor's visit to Sarajevo is the first of two visits to the region he will undertake in the coming month. His visit to Belgrade is planned for November, and details will be announced in due course.

Prosecutor Brammertz's address to the United Nations Security Council is scheduled for early December this year, the Hague Tribunal announced.
