Preparations for the 43rd International Plum Fair in full swing

Preparations for the 43rd International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry – the Plum Fair are in full swing. The Plum Fair will be held from 23 to 27 August 2017 in Gradačac on 4,500 square meters of open and closed exhibition space.

Workers of the company BOMS-expo Gračanica are setting up a prefabricated hall on the plateau of the Gradačac Fair and arranging exhibition spaces in the sports hall for around 300 exhibitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad who have announced their arrival at this traditional economic event.

The Gradačac Fair is one of the oldest specialized international fair events in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It all began back in 1969 in a town that was, among other things, recognizable as a fruit-growing region.

The occasion was the plum, which in those years bore abundantly but had difficult market placement. Therefore, enthusiasts, in cooperation with local authorities and scientists, decided to organize a Plum Day, which soon grew into the traditional Plum Fair.
