Preparations: Karađorđevo under siege due to Čović, Izetbegović and Ivanić

1,000 police officers in uniform and plainclothes will ensure the security of the BiH Presidency members who will visit Serbia on Wednesday, reports the Patria News Agency.  

Bakir Izetbegović, Mladen Ivanić and Dragan Čović are coming at the invitation of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, following the incident in Srebrenica. The meeting will most likely be held in Karađorđevo.

According to Blic, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) are also expected to arrive in Belgrade today for preparations and will hold a meeting with members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the BIA. Following that meeting, the route for the guests from Sarajevo will be planned.

-Streets will be closed and opened along the route of the motorcade according to their movement, and traffic patrols will be deployed everywhere. The car with the BiH Presidency delegation will be accompanied by three vehicles with the most experienced members of the Directorate for the Security of Important Persons. The area around Karađorđevo will practically be under siege, and even river police and Gendarmerie divers will patrol the Danube, the source told the newspaper.

Minister of Police Nebojša Stefanović declined to comment on media reports regarding specific security measures.

-From the moment they enter until the moment they leave Serbia, they will be absolutely safe and not a hair on their heads will be harmed. It is the police's obligation to guarantee their safety, and I am convinced that they will not experience anything in Serbia similar to what happened to Prime Minister Vučić in Potočari, said Stefanović.
