Preparation of exposé: Nenadić holds consultations with mayors of municipalities in Sarajevo Canton

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Chairman of the KS Assembly Mirza Čelik and candidate for the new KS Prime Minister Mario Nenadić visited the mayor of Stari Grad municipality Ibrahim Hadžibajrić last week. Although this visit was interpreted in certain circles as support for Hadžibajrić, or rather one NBL representative for the new assembly majority consisting of SDA, SBB and DF, as confirmed for Patria, the visit was of a working nature within the framework of visits to all mayors in Sarajevo Canton.

Nenadić will also address the needs of municipalities and better cooperation with the KS Government in his exposé. For example, Stari Grad Municipality received about 3 million KM from Sarajevo Canton in the past period, while some municipalities received up to 30 million KM in one mandate period. Data on project proposals and municipal priorities were collected at meetings with municipal mayors, and meetings are also being held with international institutions and religious communities. 

Municipalities are the drivers of development in Sarajevo Canton, and better cooperation and more attention to investment projects of the KS Government and municipalities would result in an improved life for the citizens of Sarajevo Canton. 

The new KS Government, headed by Mario Nenadić, could be confirmed by mid-March 2020.
