Members of BiH Armed Forces Prevented Theft at FIS Shopping Center in Vitez

During the activities to promote military careers, present operational capabilities, and showcase the BiH Armed Forces' participation in peacekeeping operations, held from September 30 to October 1, 2015, in front of the FIS shopping center (TC) in Vitez, an unusual situation occurred, reports the Patria News Agency.

On the evening of September 30, members of the BiH Armed Forces observed, discovered, and actively participated in preventing an attempted theft of various goods and items by a group of unknown individuals from the FIS shopping center in Vitez.

Members of the BiH Armed Forces prevented and detained the perpetrators of the attempted theft and promptly informed the security service of the FIS shopping center, which, in cooperation with members of the Vitez Police Station, apprehended the perpetrators.   

During the monitoring and control of the planned activities of the BiH Armed Forces on the plateau in front of the FIS shopping center by the Chief of the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ante Jeleč, on October 1, 2015, the management of the FIS company took the opportunity of General Jeleč's presence to sincerely thank the BiH Armed Forces for this very positive gesture.

General Jeleč and the members of the BiH Armed Forces who participated in this event emphasized that it was their civic duty and that they would do the same in any similar situation. Through this, members of the BiH Armed Forces once again demonstrated their human and moral qualities in action and, for who knows what time, successfully presented and affirmed the reputation of the BiH Armed Forces members in society, it was announced from the Ministry of Defense of BiH.
