Members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior join the "March for Peace 2015"

This year, the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior and the Steering Board of the Sarajevo Canton Police Union organized and carried out the necessary activities to ensure the participation of all interested union members and members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior in the "March for Peace 2015", on the occasion of marking the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, reports the Patria news agency.

As is known, the March for Peace is a three-day hiking march, from July 8 to July 11, 2015, and takes place in as many stages. Each stage is between 25 and 30 kilometers long. The column with the participants of the March departs from Nezuk and, along a predetermined route, heads towards Potočari, where it is scheduled to arrive on July 10, 2015. Upon completion of the March, participants have the opportunity to take part in the commemoration and burial rites of the identified genocide victims.

The Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior provided transportation for all interested participants on the route Sarajevo – Nezuk, as well as the return from Potočari to Sarajevo, while the Police Union provided food and other necessities for the March participants. This is yet another example in which members of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Sarajevo Canton Police Union, demonstrate their readiness, through their participation in the "March for Peace 2015", to make a full contribution to the dignified observance of this significant date in the history of our country.
