ISIL members burned Jordanian pilot alive

The terrorist organization Islamic State has released a video allegedly showing jihadists burning Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh alive, who fell into their hands at the end of last year after his plane crashed over Syria, writes the Washington Post.

The authenticity of the 22-minute video has not yet been confirmed.

According to a group monitoring IS websites, as reported by the Washington Post, at the end of this video al-Kasasbeh is shown standing in a cage while IS fighters burn him alive.

Jordanian authorities had previously negotiated a possible exchange, as IS demanded the release of Sajida al-Rishawi, a jihadist who has been in a Jordanian prison since 2006, in return for freeing two Japanese hostages and the Jordanian pilot.

In the meantime, the jihadists executed both Japanese men, and now apparently the pilot al-Kasasbeh as well.
