Members of the Border Police of BiH save nine migrants from drowning in the Drina River

ZVORNIK, (Patria) - Officers of the Zvornik Border Police Unit, in cooperation with members of the Civil Protection Administration of Republika Srpska - Zvornik and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, prevented the drowning of nine persons of Afro-Asian origin this morning, including one minor.

In the locality of Tabanci, the migrants attempted to cross the Drina River from Serbia to BiH, causing their boat to capsize.

Due to the high water level of the river, their lives were endangered, but a swift reaction by police officers returned them to the territory of Serbia in good health.

According to available information, these are migrants from one of the reception centers in Serbia.
