EFFECTIVE FROM 1 JANUARY Government of ZDK adopted ten regulations on the rights of the veteran population

(Patria) - The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, at a session chaired by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, adopted ten regulations improving the position and rights of the veteran population in this canton.

- The regulations will be applied from 1 January, and they also entail a significant increase in allocations for the veteran population. Our commitment is a permanent care for this population. It can always be better and more, but we strive year after year, in accordance with budget possibilities, to allocate adequate funds to support the veteran population - said Prime Minister Pivić.

The adopted regulations prescribe the conditions, manner and procedure for exercising rights in accordance with the new Law on Supplementary Rights of Veterans and Members of Their Families.

- The ZDK Assembly adopted a Decision on the extended scope of rights in the field of healthcare this week, so with the adoption of these ten regulations, we enter 2025 prepared, both in terms of the budget and regulations. Instructions and forms will be delivered very soon to the competent city/municipal services for veteran and disability protection, so that veterans can exercise the prescribed rights in the new year - explains Minister for Veterans' Affairs Adnan Sirovica.

The Government accepted the Information on the state of preparations for the protection and rescue of people and material assets from natural and other disasters with measures for organizing, developing and strengthening civil protection in this canton for 2024.

- Civil protection is really something we need and we give continuous maximum support, especially in the time we live in, where we have many challenges from the aspect of natural disasters and unforeseen situations where civil protection really goes first to the field and provides support to our citizens. They need to be maximally equipped, and in the next budget we have provided a significant item for equipping civil protection and we will continue like that - said Prime Minister Pivić.

From the budget of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration, funds in the amount of 150,000 KM were approved to the Municipality of Vareš as a one-time financial aid for emergency interventions due to the state of natural disaster caused by heavy rainfall, which hit this municipality at the beginning of October.

The Government adopted several decisions on approving incentive funds for agricultural producers in this canton in the total amount of 1.4 million KM.
