Funds collected to aid companies affected by May floods

Organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina and USAID, a donor evening was held in Sarajevo to collect aid for the population of flood-affected areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The donor evening was attended by numerous businessmen from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the collected funds will be used to restart small businesses in Doboj, Doboj-Jug, and Bosanski Šamac that suffered significant damage.

The distinguished guests were addressed by the Chargé d'Affaires of the United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nicholas M. Hill, who presented certificates of appreciation to the largest donors.

In addition to businessmen, this year other public figures were also able to participate in the donor evening, including FACE TV owner Senad Hadžifejzović, and among politicians, the only one present was Mirza Ustamujić accompanied by his wife Irna.
