Is there a measles epidemic threat?

According to information obtained by the BH news agency Patria (NAP), the occurrence of measles among children in BiH is noticeable.

As confirmed to NAP by Jelena Ravlija, federal epidemiologist, measles have been registered at the Health Center in Bugojno, but there is a danger that the disease could spread to other cities in BiH.

However, as NAP learns from employees of the Health Centers of Sarajevo Canton, pediatricians from Sarajevo have also received instructions to call parents whose children have not received vaccinations against this disease to do so as soon as possible.

Measles is a viral, contagious disease from the group of exanthematous fevers, which mainly affects children. The disease is clinically manifested by general weakness, malaise, fever, and the appearance of a rash that gradually spreads over the skin of the face and neck, towards the trunk and limbs.
