Threatened with a knife, forced a girl to drive him to Jajce, then beat her

Police officers of the Mrkonjić Grad Public Security Station, yesterday acted on a report that a robbery was committed against a twenty-four-year-old woman from Jezero and arrested H.Ć. (1984) from Jezero, reports the Patria news agency.

Around 3 a.m., the 24-year-old woman reported to the police that around midnight in Željeznička Street, Jezero municipality, H.Ć. stopped her, then forcibly entered the passenger vehicle without her consent, and under threat of using a knife, forced her to drive to Jajce.

The girl said that H.Ć. ordered her to stop at a rest area towards Jajce, then physically attacked her, striking her multiple times with his fist on her body, stole her mobile phone and damaged the windshield of the vehicle, and then ordered her to drive him back to Jezero municipality.

Through swift intervention and operational work, police officers found and arrested H.Ć. the same night around 5 a.m. on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of robbery.

A search was also conducted of the house used by the suspect, in Željeznička Street, Jezero municipality, where a knife was found.

The duty prosecutor of the Banja Luka District Prosecutor's Office was informed of all circumstances and ordered that the person be released after the criminal investigation, and that a report for the criminal offense of robbery be submitted against him in regular procedure, announced the RS Ministry of Interior.
