Prijedor is Srebrenica at the beginning of the aggression on RBiH

(Patria) - Today, May 31st, the International Day of White Ribbons was marked in front of the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Ottawa.

Prijedor is Srebrenica at the beginning of the aggression on the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was a prelude to mass expulsions, murders, torture, deportations – all forms of crimes against humanity. It was part of the Greater Serbia project that led to genocide. Due to its strategic position, Prijedor was under special attention.

The city connected Belgrade and Knin, and Bosniaks and Croats were considered a threat. Therefore, they had to be removed. All elements of genocide were committed in Prijedor according to international law – stated the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada.

They expressed gratitude to the Parliament of Canada for the resolution on marking May 31st as the International Day of White Ribbons being processed.

The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada has requested the United Nations General Assembly to declare May 31st the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Genocide in Prijedor.

We thank Canada for continuously supporting the culture of remembrance of the aggression and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We thank Canada for continuously supporting the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. We ask the state of Canada to strengthen its role in the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina – they stated.

They emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina must be truly diplomatically represented in Canada, a country that currently presides over the institution of the seven most developed countries in the world and is a member of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We ask that an ambassador finally be appointed to represent all of us, and who will not answer only to Milorad Dodik, but to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and their country that pays them. We deserve to have an ambassador in Canada who will truly represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada and who will cooperate with the diaspora and Bosnian-Herzegovinian citizens in Canada – they concluded.
