Proposed Law on Banning Employment of Immediate Family Members Before the FBiH Government

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will, at its 85th session that began today in Sarajevo, consider the Draft Law on Strike, which regulates the procedure in which workers, with the aim of protecting and achieving their professional interests, economic and social rights, exercise the right to strike in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Since the current Law on Strike was adopted in 2000, it was necessary to adopt a new one that would respond to the current needs of the overall economic situation as well as the needs of workers arising from new economic and market conditions.

The FBiH Government will consider a Draft Conclusion obliging federal administrations, administrative organizations, institutions and other federal institutions and services, the Agency for Civil Service of FBiH and FBiH institutions established by the Federation of BiH, which exercise public authorities and have the status of a legal entity, excluding federal ministries, to suspend competition procedures for the recruitment of civil servants, employees and other staff until March 31, 2017.

On the agenda of today's session is also the indebtedness of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the Loan Agreement between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the amount of 76,000,000 euros for the implementation of the Corridor Vc Project. The funds will be used for the sections Donja Gračanica (Pečuj tunnel) – Klopče (5.8 kilometers) and Svilaj - Odžak (10.4 km).

The Federal Government will today declare itself on the Proposed Law on Banning the Employment of Immediate Family Members of the President and Vice Presidents of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and members of the Government of the Federation of BiH in public bodies and be informed about the information from the Federal Ministry of Trade on the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings in the company „Šipad Export-Import“ d.d. Sarajevo.
