Detention proposal for suspects of crimes against humanity in Lješevo in 1992

After questioning the suspects, the prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes submitted a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the detention of both suspects who were deprived of their liberty in an operation by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in the area of Zvornik and Rogatica. The detention measure was proposed for Draškić Ranko, born in 1956 in Rogatica, and Manojlović Savo, born in 1967 in Višegrad.

The detention measure was proposed for the reasons described in Article 132, paragraph 1, point a) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely due to the risk of flight of the suspects. The aforementioned suspects are under investigation for a war crime committed against the civilian population of Bosniak ethnicity in the area of Lješevo, Ilijaš municipality, specifically for the unlawful abduction and murder of 22 civilians, as well as the persecution of several dozen persons from the said area, and the population of Kadarići, who were forcibly taken into detention in camps and detention facilities in Podlugovi and Ilijaš.

The motion for detention has been submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
