10 years ago, the BiH Presidency building and BiH Archives were set on fire during violent protests

(Patria) - Today marks the 10th anniversary of the violent protests that resulted in the burning of the BiH Presidency building, which also houses the BiH Archives, the KS Government building, i.e. Centar Municipality, and clashes between demonstrators and the police.

On this occasion, the BiH Archives today opened an exhibition "The Day When the History of BiH Burned" in memory of February 7, 2014.

In the fire, as well as during the firefighting efforts, original materials in depot number 1, where documents from the Austro-Hungarian period were kept, were damaged. Some documents were completely burned and irretrievably lost. Part of the materials that were partially burned are now an integral part of the exhibition.

Numerous guests, ambassadors, members of the executive authorities, and directors of archives in BiH attended the exhibition.
