Friends of BiH: State and political parties should publicly condemn violence in Gaza

The association 'Friends of BiH' calls on state institutions and political parties in BiH to clearly condemn the violence of Israeli military forces against innocent civilian population in Gaza and join diplomatic initiatives for a ceasefire and cessation of conflict, it was announced, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- The mass loss of innocent civilian lives in Gaza (as reported by The New York Times, more than 1,200 lives lost in Gaza as of July 29, 2014), including a huge number of children, and more than 170,000 people left homeless so far – are consequences of a military campaign that the democratic world cannot and must not ignore - state members of this respected BiH association that gathers patriots.

As a symbol of suffering on European soil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, they state, has developed a special empathy for the suffering of innocent populations anywhere in the world.

- The association 'Friends of BiH' believes that there is a solution to every conflict and therefore publicly supports all peace initiatives that call for an end to the conflict in order to stop the mass loss of life and the general usurpation of life that future generations will also feel. The association 'Friends of BiH', within its capacity, gives full support to peace initiatives and appeals for a ceasefire, care for the endangered population, and finding a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian issue - they conclude in the statement, reports NAP.
