The story about 150,000 migrants is nonsense and Dodik's campaign

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - More than seven thousand illegal migrants have been registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and 600 have applied for asylum, said Dragan Mektić, BiH Minister of Security after the session of the Council of Ministers where the Information on Migrants concluded on June 24 was discussed.

The minister explained that not a single application has been approved, which indicates that migrants do not want asylum, but are only formally submitting applications to justify their stay in BiH.

- They are abusing the institute of asylum. We accepted 317 migrants based on readmission from the Republic of Croatia, and we handed over more than 500 illegal migrants to others - Mektić said.

The FBiH Government has informed the Council of Ministers in writing that they have ceded the Ušivak barracks and Agrokomerc premises in Velika Kladuša.

- Electricity and sewage connections are being resolved... At Agrokomerc, we have a donation from Austria for about 50 specialized tents, air conditioning, heating. With additional containers and sanitary facilities that we will build in Velika Kladuša - Mektić pointed out, adding that "we have all failed the test and that organized crime has taken over the route".

- No country should have allowed this. We must prevent it more effectively. We will start operating. Joint action of police forces in Southeast Europe. To deny once again the nonsense about 150,000 migrants who will settle here. Dodik is using this in his election campaign - Mektić stated.
