A ship with 170 passengers capsized near the city of Ormoc in central Philippines, and according to initial information, 33 people have died, reports the Patria News Agency.
The accident occurred on Thursday morning, and local authorities immediately ordered rescue services to search for survivors.
According to local media, the ship was heading towards the Camotes Islands. It is not yet known why the ship capsized, and an investigation is underway.
