(Patria) - The Minister of Labour, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton, Enda Pavić-Pečenković, was deprived of liberty in today's continuation of the 'Koverta' operation, and is suspected of the criminal offense of abuse of office or authority.
"The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office suspects her of having, together with Adna Mesihović, with the mediation of Ibrahim Obhođaš, influenced the employment of his sister in the Ministry of Labour. This operation is the result of a signed protocol between the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, the KS Office for Combating Corruption, and the KS Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration in prosecuting corrupt criminal offenses," said Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.
She emphasized that searches were carried out in both ministries - Labour and Social Policy and Science and Higher Education, as well as in the KS Employment Service.
"Certain documentation has been seized, which will certainly serve in further criminal proceedings," said Bavčić.
