RAIDS AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS Seven people arrested, including four MUP TK police officers suspected of human trafficking

(Patria) - Following a multi-month investigation conducted by the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, an extensive operation was carried out on the morning of October 29, 2025, at several locations in Tuzla Canton, resulting in the arrest of seven people, including four police officers.

As confirmed by the MUP TK, police officers acted on the order of the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton. Searches were simultaneously conducted at seven locations in the areas of Živinice, Banovići, and Kalesija, and the result of the operation was the arrest of seven individuals due to grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of "Human Trafficking" under Article 210a of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to available information, the arrested individuals are: B. K. (1974), Dž. P. (1970), J. M. (1995), M. H. (1979), N. A. (1984), Z. J. (1964), and S. Š. (1958). Four of the aforementioned individuals are active members of the Police Administration of MUP TK.

The MUP stated that criminal investigations will be conducted on the arrested individuals, after which they will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Tuzla Canton for further proceedings, along with a report.

The operation is the result of several months of operational work and evidence gathering within a broader investigation into the possible existence of an organized network engaged in illegal activities related to the exploitation and trafficking of people in the Tuzla Canton area.
