Searches at ten locations due to tax evasion

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency today (May 27, 2025) in the areas of East Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Rogatica, Gradiška, Bijeljina and Brčko began an operational action called "Soda", within which they are searching residential and auxiliary buildings and movable property at 10 locations in connection with 10 suspects.

The operational action "Soda" is being carried out under the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that criminal offenses of "Association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses" and in connection with criminal offenses of "Tax evasion or fraud", "Money laundering", "Forgery of signs for marking goods, measures and weights" prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as criminal offenses from the entity criminal codes related to deceiving buyers, falsifying business books and other offenses have been committed.
