Verdict for Murder in Sarajevo: Three Convicted to Serve Sentence in Sweden

(Patria) - After accepting a plea agreement, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo sentenced El Oweiti Abdel Majid, Hedberg Oliver Peter, and Konrad Tylus for the murder of Swedish citizen Haris Osterdal and sentenced them to ten years in prison each. At the request of the defense, they will serve their sentence in Sweden.

The defendants are charged with killing the Swedish citizen on October 31, 2023, at around 4:25 PM in the Sarajevo municipality of Ilidža, specifically in the Bulevar neighborhood in front of one of the buildings.

After the murder, the defendants fled to the territory of the Republika Srpska. Shortly after, they were arrested by police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, two in Pale, while the defendant Hedberg Oliver Peter was arrested in the area of the Sokolac municipality.
