Too Early to Talk About the Final Raspberry Price for the 2018 Season

Members of the Association of Buyers and Exporters of Berries of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina distance themselves from all previous information about the purchase price of raspberries for the 2018 season that have been circulated by some buyers. 

- Given the numerous factors that influence the final price, we believe it is too early to even talk about the final raspberry price for the 2018 season. The Association maintains its position that the price will be determined in accordance with the Contract, i.e., after all relevant factors have been reviewed and analyzed, and it will be determined according to market conditions and in the best interest of both producers and buyers - the Association's statement reads.

The Association appeals to all producers not to destroy their plantations, but to continue harvesting early raspberry varieties: Willamette and Meeker.

- The harvest of the Polka variety will also be purchased at full bearing capacity, and we wish to dispel any doubts about the guaranteed purchase of this variety - the statement from the members of the Association of Buyers and Exporters of Berries of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina reads.
