Preporod Zenica organized the 16th traditional iftar for women

The Bosniak cultural community "Preporod" organized last night the 16th traditional iftar for women in Zenica, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- This is the 16th iftar for women. Each woman brings one prepared Bosnian dish, savory or sweet. There are always about 50 of us, employed women, in positions - said Amna Softić, president of the Bosniak cultural community „Preporod“ Zenica.

The primary goal of the iftar is the socializing of women from different spheres of life, and this joint iftar for women has another goal, which is the preservation of tradition.

- I have been coming to this iftar for about ten years, and for tonight I prepared sataraš and hurmašice. This is a nice gathering, where we get to know our tradition through food and a cultural and artistic program - said Sabina Kulenović, one of the guests.

The Bosniak cultural community "Preporod" is engaged in preserving Bosniak culture and customs. The Zenica "Preporod" is one of 68 Preporod branches at the level of BiH. The Zenica "Preporod" has 150 young members, who come daily, socialize and learn through seven sections, and is among the three most active in BiH.
